Super Bowl GAME-USED in 2011 Cards!

Holy cow. This is awesome…Earlier this week Panini posted an article with pictures from the past couple of weeks. Most of the pictures were from the Industry Summit in Vegas, but several were of Super Bowl XLV Game-Used pylons and footballs they’ve recently received at their offices. I got really excited for a second, but my excitement dissipated when I realized the likelihood of those items making it into football cards was slim to none.
And then I read some more…
Here is a quote from the blog, direct from Tracy Hackler:
“Key recent arrivals — a pair of game-used end zone pylons (and game-used footballs) from
Super Bowl XLV — that very well could have a bright, bright neon-like future in a 2011 Panini America football product.”
That’s right. The spectacular, patch-covered pylons and logo-embedded footballs you see in the gallery below will likely be IN A FOOTBALL CARD next year.

Just for kicks, I thought I’d make a (super-quick) little “mock-up” of what one of these Pylon-NFL-Logoshield autos could look like. Enjoy!

Well you did it again Serg we are drooling over here just thinking about a card like that in production, but then again they will probably cut that logo into a few pieces to get it on a few cards and not just one.
These are sweet! Better than Topps Ticket Exclusives with the stub and a sticker auto. Sweet!
