UPDATE: MARCH 3rd, 2011 SAM BRADFORD GOLDEN TICKET PULLED!!!
Beckett member “redman5422″ had this to say about his amazing pull:

I stopped on my home from work today and bought 5 pack of 2010 Playoff Contenders. I wanted to get a couple of packs to try out my camera on my phone because I am going to be hosting a case break real soon. Well I opened the first pack on video and got a GOLDEN TICKET! I was shocked to say the least! I stopped recording because I was shaking. I then went to Panini.com and typed in the redemption code. Needless to say, it was a 1/1 SAM BRADFORD! AMAZING!!! Here is the first video of me actually pulling the redemption…..

His reaction was priceless…

Here’s his explanation of what he pulled.

UPDATE: MARCH 2nd, 2011: GOLDEN TICKET: Behind the Vault
This video shows the very first Golden Ticket being pulled out of the vault for a lucky collector. I personally take offense to how nonchalant this dude is when he pulls the card out of its velvet bag…”Pretty Cool.” Pretty Cool? Pretty cool? What a douche. I’d be screaming and yelling…but then again I’m about as excited by football cards as 9 year old girls are by that Bieber kid.

UPDATE: MARCH 2nd, 2011: This is what a proper reaction looks like for a mojo pull (mojo pull occurs at the 4:20 mark)

Second Golden Ticket Awarded
Here’s a video of the second golden ticket being awarded to a card shop owner. Pretty cool that the collector allowed the card shop owner to be in the video in his place. His story is at least interesting…I love LCS owners, they are almost always good people.

UPDATE: MARCH 2nd, 2011
Print Runs for the beautiful Super Bowl Tickets autograph set have finally been announced. For your convenience, I have bolded all cards with print-runs smaller than 10.

UPDATE: FEBRUARY 23
1) Cardboard Connection did an AMAZING job analyzing eBay sales of EVERY rookie auto in 2010 Contenders, and based on that information they have deduced what they believe to be the short-print variations. Click HERE to see the full article and to see just how many autos of each player have actually shown up on the bay.

2) The Beckett Blog categorized their suspected short-prints by tiers. Click HERE to view this list. For your reference I’ve also copied this list further down on this page.

February 16th: Panini revealed the set of Rookie-Ticket variations, although they have not yet revealed the print-runs of these variations. See image gallery below for variations.

This Panini Video Talks About:
– Rookie Ticket variations (7:10 in)
– Golden Ticket (3:40 in)

Regarding the Variation Gallery below, here is an excerpt from Tracy Hackler’s post in the Panini America Blog:

Every one of the Rookie Ticket variations is presented for your viewing pleasure in the gallery that follows.

But as the product officially launches today, perhaps the most important questions remain unanswered: Are the variations short-printed? If so, how short are they? Indeed, this remains a developing situation.

Here’s hoping the following images of some of 2010′s most coveted Rookie Card variations will hold you over until I can unearth more details.

  4. Charlie Bucket is AWESOME!

I really dig the design on the Rookie Ticket cards overall, but signing over ROOKIE at the bottom washes out the signature.

  5. I’m ridiculously in love with this product…I’m currently in San Francisco until Monday and will have TWO boxes waiting for me on my doorstep when I return. Then as soon as an ebay buyer pays up I’ll have enough for two more boxes :-)

I just hope the prices haven’t sky-rocketed by then! Did you hear Panini just announced that they are officially SOLD-OUT of Contenders ALREADY!?!? Yeah. Got to be a record for football cards.

  6. You did it again! I love all your articles, but really love the ones that help with product identification and card info. I wish you were around in the 90’s to help with all the parallels back then :)
